We’ve been a little MIA on our blog lately with so many exciting new ventures going on at Cooper Grey. So today we have a guest blog from our friend Kati at Abode Design Studio.

Inspired by the lovely leather goods of Ceri Hoover Bags … we decided to make our own leather travel accessory. Here is our version of a jewelry|mini make-up pouch.

Step 1: Take a scrap piece of leather and trace a circle on it with a dinner plate.

Step 2: Cut out the circle

Step 3: Center a dessert|salad plate on the leather circle and trace it’s outline.

Step 4: Mark 16 evenly space spots along the drawn circle

Step 5: Cut a small 1/4″ slit at each mark.

Step 6: Choose a pretty ribbon and tie the end around a paper clip.

Step 7: Weave the ribbon through the slits … overlapping at the first and last holes.

Step 8: Pull the ribbon ends to gather the pouch.

Step 9: Secure with a bow.

Ta da! Your new perfect mini travel buddy!
